SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – A woman was stabbed Saturday evening at an apartment complex on Prince Hall Lane.

According to the Spartanburg Police Department, the suspect, Ledasia Rice, attacked the victim with a beer bottle. The victim stated she and a group of people were sitting outside, drinking.

Rice began verbally attacking the victim before grabbing the bottle and struck her multiple times in the head and neck. Rice then fled the scene, police said.

Rice and the victim were arguing about Rice’s child, according to a witness.

The victim was taken to the hospital and received stitches for her injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time. The Spartanburg Police Department said they will be seeking a warrant for assault and aggravated battery against Rice.
