Target is the safe haven of every middle-aged millennial woman. We fill our Stanley cups , put on our comfy going-out clothes, grab a Starbucks, and take off to the store where we really don’t need anything but end up buying everything. And sitting near the entrance, ready to pounce on you when you walk through the big red sliding doors, is the most desirable aisle in all of Target - the dollar spot.
The Target dollar spot is filled with irresistible in-season goodies. Right now, the spot is stocked with summertime essentials that make hosting a breeze. One woman got creative with one of the items, making a super cute spicy margarita-themed gift for a friend. Just wait until you see how cute this gift basket is!
This gift tray is such a unique idea!. Not only is it super cute, but it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to create. She used the cactus serving tray as the gift’s vessel, placing shredded gift paper in the bottom and layering the ingredients to create the ultimate spicy margarita.
Spicy Pineapple Margarita Recipe
A spicy marg is the signature cocktail of summer. It screams sunshine and party while maintaining sophistication. Here's one of our favorite ways to serve a spicy marg; with pineapple!
Ingredients:
1½ ounces of mezcal or tequila blanco
1½ ounces of pineapple juice *fresh is best!
1 ounce of fresh lime juice
¾ ounce of triple sec
2 to 4 fresh jalapeño slices
Ice
Course salt for rim
Garish for glass (pineapple slice or lime wheel):
Making the Cocktail:
Rim your cocktail glass with the flaky salt by rubbing lime juice on the rim and dipping it on a plate of flaky salt. Fill the cocktail glasses half full with ice.
Add mezcal, pineapple juice, lime juice, triple sec, and jalapeño slices to a cocktail shaker. Top with a handful of ice and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
Strain the mixture over ice in the glass and top with additional ice to the brim. Place a lime wedge or pineapple slice on the glass as garnish. Serve and enjoy!
