Tampa, FLA. (WFLA) – Expect another hot and humid summer day in the Tampa Bay area! We stay dry for the first half of the day. This afternoon temperatures reach the low 90’s, but high humidity levels will make it feel like we are in the triple digits.

Some spotty showers start popping up in our coastal areas around lunch time. They become more scattered and drift east throughout the afternoon.

Some heavier downpours develop during early evening, mostly for areas north of I-4. We dry out after midnight.

Expect summer like rainy patterns throughout the week. However, as we get closer to the end of the week, we could see a few morning showers develop as well as afternoon storms.

    Tracking the Tropics:

We are staying quiet in the Atlantic basin. No development is expected for the next 7 days. That’s partly thanks to a dense plume of Saharan dust. While it doesn’t limit our rain chances much, it will lead to some hazy skies.
