Single vehicle crash in Lowcountry leaves one person dead

JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) says a single vehicle crash has resulted in one death in the Lowcountry.

According to officials, the crash happened around 11:25 p.m. on Saturday.

A 2019 Dodge Coupe that was traveling north on U.S. 321 near Causeway Road, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

SCHP says the driver, who was heading to work, was the sole occupant in the vehicle and died from their injuries on the scene.
