Celebrate National Tequila Day with Two Unique Limited Releases at Bern’s

National Tequila Day is coming up on Wednesday, July 24. Though Bern’s Steak House is known for its world-renowned wine list – and even its spectacular desserts , they’re putting a special twist on another type of spirit. They’ve recently teamed up with art organization, CASS Contemporary , to showcase two new limited-edition tequilas and specialty cocktails.

The release includes two limited-edition Código 1530 Tequila bottles, which feature an exclusive label designed by CASS artist, Paola Delfin. The special collaboration was introduced on April 14 at the Haven Art Brunch, a highlight from this year’s Bern’s Winefest.

About The Tequilas

What’s unique about these specially crafted tequilas is how they were finished. The Blanco ($95) was finished in a Sauvignon Blanc barrel and boasts a floral nose and an herbaceous palate with notes of white stone fruit and pear.

The Rosa Reposado ($105) was aged in Cabernet barrels and then transferred to sherry barrels. It has a fresh floral nose and a palate rich with plums, red berries, and pomegranate.

About The Cocktails

In addition to the specialty bottles, you can also sip on two handcrafted cocktails at Bern’s sister restaurant, Haven, that were featured at the Art Brunch. The cocktails are not on the menu but are mixed by special request! It definitely makes for a fun date night idea for tequila and art lovers.

• Buzzworthy Espresso Martini : features espresso, Código Blanco Rosa 1530 and Dorda Coconut Liqueur, $20
• Straight Outta Tampa : a celery margarita twist with Código Blanco Bern’s Single Barrel and smoked jalapeno agave (this drink is on the menu, but using a different Tequila, so the Código must be requested), $17

About the Artist

Paola is a Mexico-based artist, and her artwork was an ideal choice for this inaugural tequila project. Her work blends culinary excellence with contemporary art, offering a unique experience for both connoisseurs and art enthusiasts. Delfin’s work for the Código 1530 Tequila labels is inspired by ‘Trust,’ which portrays a young woman in an agave field and symbolizes purity and nature. Delfin’s mural ‘Trust’ can also be found at Haven.

“The theme of ‘Trust,’ inspired by Paola Delfin’s mural at Haven, guided this collaboration,” said Nate Wilson, Bern’s Steak House Director of Spirits. “We sought a tequila that embodied purity of taste and aligned with Paola’s artwork. The result is a collection that celebrates both art and exceptional tequila.”
