Matt Riddle Reveals What He Was Doing On Saturday Night After Canceling His IWA-PR Booking At Short Notice

Earlier this week, Savio Vega of IWA-PR put Matt Riddle on blast as the former WWE star had canceled his upcoming appearance for the promotion’s big summer show despite him being advertised and a plane ticket purchased. Vega would note that he had asked Riddle to send a video apologizing to Puerto Rican fans for no-showing, but that wasn’t forthcoming. And while Riddle hasn’t publicly addressed the reason for not fulfilling his commitment, on his X account, he has revealed he spent his Saturday night watching Jake Paul’s knockout win over Mike Perry at a bar.

After being fired by WWE last year, 38-year-old Riddle has slowly been rebuilding his pro wrestling career on the indie circuit, working most weekends all over the country and sometimes internationally. Yet he recently was forced to miss some dates due to suffering a concussion in a car accident, although given he has since returned to the ring, it appears he has recovered.
