Temps in the mid-80s with chance of showers in NY, NJ

NEW YORK (PIX11)—It was National Ice Cream Day, and the weather in New York and New Jersey lent itself to outdoor scooping.

The tri-state area hit the mid-80s Sunday, with parts of New Jersey climbing closer to 90 degrees.

The beginning of the work week will prove cooler than last, with temperatures remaining in the low- to mid-80s. By Thursday, temperatures will jump back up closer to 90 degrees and the air will become stormy again.
