Eileen Abatemarco , who is 61, isn’t used to being in the spotlight—Her daughter Natalie is the one with a growing social media following. But from time to time she would pops up in Natalie’s videos, and TikTok takes notice. After receiving messages about how her mom looks decades younger than her actual age and wanting to know her secrets, Natalie posted two TikToks where Abatemarco revealed her beauty secrets.

We reached out too, asking Abatemarco to share her must-have products and any skincare treatments she gets regularly. And thankfully, she reveals it all. No gatekeeping here!

The Morning Skincare Routine That Could Make You Look 20 Years Younger

Abatemarco says that every morning, she washes her face with CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser ($15.48). “I have very sensitive skin and need to be especially careful with products that I use,” she explains.

As part of her morning skincare routine, she uses Hydrinity Restorative HA Serum ($120), putting it on right after washing her face and before anything else is applied. “It’s a little pricey so I don’t use it all the time, but I love it,” Abatemarco says. Made with hyaluronic acid, this serum is full of antioxidants to protect against free radicals and lock in hydration, keeping skin moisturized.

Next, Abatemarco says she applies Zo Skin Daily Power Defense ($85), which contains retinol, which increases cell production. Like the Hydrinity serum, this serum also contains antioxidants to protect against free radicals.

Sometimes, Abatemarco applies an eye cream—she likes Hydrinity Eye Renew ($120), but she doesn’t do it every day. “A lot of eye creams irritate my eye area, but this one doesn’t,” she explains.

“After moisturizing, I like to use a balm for a nice glow. I use Anfisa An-Balm ($145) or Ikaria Ageless Beauty Balm ($120),” Abatemarco says, detailing the last step of her morning skincare routine.

If she’s going to be spending time in the sun, Abatemarco applies sunscreen to her face. Her favorite is Elta MD Tinted Face Sunscreen ($34.24).

In the evening, Abatemarco says she washes her face again with her CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. “Sometimes, I use the Zo Skin Retinol Skin Brightener ($76.78) mixed with the Zo Skin Daily Power Defense. I do this a few times a month but not every night. I always use the Anfisa An-Balm at night,” she adds.

Skin naturally uses moisture at night , which is why it’s beneficial to moisturize at night, as Abatemarco does.

More Tips for Smooth, Hydrated Skin

Having the right products on hand is one thing, but you may be wondering if there’s anything else Abatemarco does to keep her skin looking so young. Some facials or cosmetic procedures perhaps? The answer is yes. “Since I’m 61 now and my son was getting married, I tried some Botox in between my eyes. Just enough to smooth out the two lines in between the eyes,” Abatemarco shares.

She also gets a hydrafacial every few months with Rona Marc at Redefining Health in Roslyn, New York. During a hydrafacial, blue LED light is used to cleanse and exfoliate skin, removing dead skin cells and extracting debris from clogged pores. As the name implies, it also hydrates skin.

In terms of any diet or lifestyle habits Abatemarco does for the sake of her skin, she says she tries to sleep seven to eight hours a night, eats a nutrient-rich diet and drinks plenty of water with electrolytes and green tea.

Creating a skincare routine is certainly an investment, but Abatemarco says that she hardly wears any makeup. When you take care of your skin, you don’t have to!
