New Restaurant Ramen Mafia Plans to Open in Winston-Salem

Ramen Mafia will be coming to 271 W 4th Street in Winston-Salem, according to a permit filed with the City of Winston-Salem.

The location was formerly occupied by Downtown Thai & Pho, which served sushi, Thai food, and Vietnamese pho, which closed on May 31 after more than 20 years at their downtown Winston-Salem location.

Work planned at the space in transitioning Downtown Thai & Pho into Ramen Mafia include re-installing and connecting removed kitchen equipment and a remodel to the dining room and front entrance, according to the plans filed with the City.

Venny Juniaty will be opening the new ramen spot. Juniaty is also the co-owner of Thai Harmony , a Thai restaurant that serves sushi, noodles, stir fries and other Thai dishes in the Liberty Plaza Building in Winston-Salem.

What Now Charlotte has reached out to Juniaty for more information on Ramen Mafia’s concept and timeline for opening but has yet to receive a response. Stay tuned for updates on this location’s upcoming opening.
