Robert Irwin Shares Surprising Confession About a Major ‘First’ in His Life

Robert Irwin took on a new job recently as a guest anchor on the TV program called The Sunday Project , and while there, he revealed his honest reaction to trying coffee for the first time.

While speaking with Australian singer Budjerah , Irwin confessed, via the Daily Mail , that he recently took his first sip of coffee and it could've gone better.

"I only just tried my first cup of coffee recently. It did not go over well at all," he explained.

However, Irwin also noted he was willing to try it again, inviting the singer to "catch up for a coffee," before adding, "I've got to get converted to the world of coffee."

Irwin originally shared the moment he first tried coffee in a video posted last September , writing in the caption, "Taking the morning shift at the Crikey Cafe at @australiazoo. Get your coffee order ready next time you visit, it might not be right, but I’ll try my best 😅."

Even before trying the popular drink, Irwin made coffee for others at the Australia Zoo. He finally took a sip himself, and while he said the words, "I love it," his face and tone said otherwise.

While some coffee fans warned Irwin about the drink, writing things like, "Your life is never going to be the same again," and "Don't get addicted to coffee! 😂 lol," others related to his experience.

"Finally another adult who doesn't like coffee," said another fan, as someone else wrote, "I don't drink coffee at all 🤣🤣🤣 don't like the taste."

Irwin's father, the late Steve Irwin , was known for never drinking coffee as well, and in one memorable interview, the conservationist joked that if he drank coffee, the "top of me head would blow off!"

He went on, saying that he once tried it a decade prior before joking, "I haven't recovered yet."

Many fans recalled this interview while watching the young Irwin try his first coffee, with one person saying, "I love that you have never had a coffee like your dad! The video of your dad speaking about his last coffee is hilarious!"

While Irwin isn't a lover of coffee yet, who knows, he might just get a taste for the drink in the future.
