FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) — A Howe Springs Fire Rescue engine truck was damaged after a vehicle crashed into the agency’s Old River Road building on Saturday afternoon.

It happened about 1:20 p.m. in what officials said on Facebook was an accident and put the 6128 Old River Road station partially out of service.

Officials said video surveillance captured the incident, which was deemed accidental.

“What we believe is this was an accident. The station can and will be repaired the driver was not injured,” Howe Springs Fire Rescue said on its Facebook page.
