Jeopardy! fans reveal which player they want to see return for Second Chance Tournament

Jeopardy! fans are placing bets on who will star in the Second Chance Tournament .

The iconic quiz show has seen a number of astonishing performances this season. While the likes of Isaac Hirsch and Drew Basile have racked up impressive winning streaks, a number of fan favorites have seen their Jeopardy! journey end without a single win.

One unlucky loser viewers are hoping to see in action again is Michigan mental health worker, Micah Rahn-Tiemeyer. The 38-year-old left many screaming at the TV on Thursday night when he got an answer wrong after going all in and putting everything on the line.

Despite his betting mistake, Micah kept viewers hooked until the very last minute on the show - when he messed it all up again, answering a question about one of his favorite bands wrong.

Despite his epic errors, fans seem keen to see Micah return in the Second Chance Tournament. Over on Reddit, one wrote: “Micah would be a good Second Chance choice. He was superb and definitely had multi-day champ potential.”

However, others worried that the number of mistakes the crisis worker made may mean the odds are not in his favor. One concerned fan wrote: “Micah’s 22 correct responses would possibly get a Second Chance invite but with so many incorrect responses, this might be a factor into the producers’ consideration if he will get the invitation or not?”

Micah personally thanked fans for their support, adding that he thought his Second Chance chances were slim. Replying on Reddit, he said: “There’s been a lot of excellent runners-up this season though. Second chance is going to be a really strong competition and there may be too many people crowding me out of the field.”

On Thursday, Micah’s first blunder occurred after he took the lead with $1,600, leaving returning champ Jay Fisher panicked. The brave quizzer decided to go all in and bet all of his winnings so far - which proved to be a big mistake.

The clue was: "An attraction at Carlsbad Caverns is one of these long formations known as the Sword of Damocles." Micah answered: "What's a stalagmite?" He was wrong, the answer was stalactite.

Despite his disastrous mistake, Micah kept Jay on his toes right until Final Jeopardy! - but sadly for the mental health therapist, he missed a question he said he should have known the answer to.

The category was Showbiz Marriages and the clue was: "Married since 1977, the year of this band’s 1st album, 2 members referenced another album with their 2023 “Remain In Love” tour." The answer was: "Who are Talking Heads?" - who Micah is a huge fan of.
