Kamala Harris lied to the country about Biden’s condition

Vice President Kamala Harris will almost certainly become the Democratic nominee now that President Joe Biden has announced he is withdrawing from the race. That makes the fact that she lied to the public about Biden’s condition all the more galling.

Harris has repeatedly told voters there is nothing to be concerned about regarding Biden’s age. Citing the time she has spent with him “in the Oval Office, in the Situation Room and other places,” Harris said Biden is “extraordinarily smart.” She has said she works with Biden every day and he “is going to be fine.” Biden is “tireless,” she told us, and it is “wrong on the facts” to say Biden has a poor memory.

We know all this to be lies now. Harris claimed Biden was “tireless,” but his own aides leaked that he cannot function past 4 p.m. and Biden himself claimed to be jet-lagged for at least 12 days after flying to justify his debate performance. She claimed he was “extraordinarily smart,” but we know he has to have questions scripted for media interviews and even when speaking with members of his own cabinet. The same Biden the country saw stumble through the debate is what Democratic activists admit they have seen in private.

Kamala Harris lied, repeatedly, about Biden’s condition, all so she could cling to power. Now, she will likely head the presidential ticket in a quest for even more power, power which she has already admitted she thinks the president should be able to abuse so long as it fits her agenda. She was willing to cover up Biden’s condition for her own political and personal gain, treating voters like fools to preserve her own position of power.

Why should anyone trust her after she lied to the country for years about Biden’s condition? Why should anyone trust her judgement if she thought Biden was “tireless” and had a good memory? Why did she place her own political career above the right of voters to know if their president had a fully functioning brain? This is what Harris must answer for from now until November, and it is why she belongs nowhere near the presidency or any other political position at any level of government ever again.
