Bodacious and bold, unabashed and unparalleled, Megan Thee Stallion is one of the most visible and hardworking people in show business today. For the 29-year-old San Antonio, Texas-born rapper and actor, the possibilities regarding her career seem to expand by the day. With three albums out to date and recent appearances in movies like Mean Girls in 2024, Meg is, as they say, out there.

But when someone is so ever-present and unafraid to speak their mind, as the lyricist certainly is, there are bound to be those who express dislike. And Megan Thee Stallion, thanks to recent court battles and her rising popularity, certainly has her fair share of those. But what famous person doesn’t today, thanks to social media.

Nevertheless, there is a reason why Meg is so ever-present. Her music is powerful and her delivery eye- and ear-catching. And here below, we wanted to explore three songs from the artist that showcase her talent and allure. Indeed, these are three songs for people who say they don’t like Megan Thee Stallion.

    “Savage” from Suga (2020)

As an emcee, Megan Thee Stallion is relentless. They say the way a person does one thing is the way they do everything, and this is clear most evidently on this track. Just as Meg is relentless in her career (to the point of exhaustion), she is relentless in her lyrical delivery. This song, which later got a remix with Beyoncé, is also the song that helped put Meg on the mainstream map as it hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The southern rapper shines on the chorus, offering,

    I’m a savage (yeah)

    Classy, bougie, ratchet (yeah)

Sassy, moody, nasty (hey, hey, yeah)

Acting stupid, what’s happening? B—h (whoa, whoa)

    What’s happening? B—h (whoa, whoa)

    I’m a savage, yeah

    Classy, bougie, ratchet, yeah

    Sassy, moody, nasty, huh

    Acting stupid, what’s happening? B—h

    What’s happening? (Ayy, ah)

    “Hot Girl Summer” (Single, 2019)

Featuring two more big names Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign, this song from Meg is a romp. It’s about looking good, feeling good, sweating to the beat and celebrating those things that get your endorphins going. It can be hard to let your freak flag fly but this song says let it all hang out. In that way, Meg empowers listeners to both party and to shake their stuff—shake what their mamas gave them, as the saying goes. On the song, which hit No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, Meg raps,

Handle me? (Huh) Who gon’ handle me? (Who?)

Thinkin’ he’s a player, he’s a member on the team

He put in all that work, he wanna be the MVP (boy, bye)

I told him ain’t no taming me, I love my n—-s equally

    “Body” from Good News (2020)

It’s no secret—Meg likes to show off what God gave her. And this song demonstrates that, well, in full. For those uncomfortable with the human form, look away. Because it’s on big time display here. The song, with its catchy hook, was one of the fan favorites of 2020 upon its release and it has since helped make Meg a star. With the artist, you get the entire package–songwriter, lyricist, performer, and everything in between. On the song, which hit No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, she raps,

    Body-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody

    Ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody (mwah)

    Body-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody (ah, ah, ah ah)

    Ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody

Body crazy, curvy, wavy, big t—–s, lil’ waist (yeah, yeah, yeah)

Body crazy, curvy, wavy, big t—–s, lil’ waist (mwah)

    Body-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody
