Injured Star Has Been Removed From WWE’s Internal Roster Ahead Of Contract Expiry

Recently, a lot of news has been coming out of WWE regarding contacts with the company, with the company willing to let deals come close to ending. And now, according to Fightful Select , not only is Bobby Lashley’s deal expiring within the next month or so, but he has also been removed from WWE’s internal roster. This doesn’t confirm that the 48-year-old, two-time WWE Champion will be departing the company, but it currently isn’t a positive sign for his long-term future.

“Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp has learned that former world champion Bobby Lashley’s WWE contract is up within the next month or so, possibly over the course of weeks. PWN learned that Lashley was removed from the internal roster page, though he is still featured on the company’s website.”

Lashley hasn’t wrestled since May, when he faced Santos Escobar on a house show in France. Shortly following this, he was set to participate in the King of the Ring tournament, with a match against Tama Tonga being announced. Yet Angelo Dawkins would replace him after it was confirmed he’d suffered an unspecified injury in training, which hasn’t been publicly divulged as of writing.
