    Body found after missing man was last seen swimming at Chesterfield park

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Police say a body has been recovered after a missing 45-year-old man was last seen swimming at a Chesterfield park on Sunday.

    Julio Sales Perez, was last seen on Sunday in the area of 6407 Jefferson Davis Highway at the Falling Creek Ironworks Park, according to Chesterfield Police.

    Officers later said that during their investigation they learned that Perez was last seen swimming in the area.

    "The Chesterfield Fire & EMS Dive Team recovered the body of an adult male, who was identified as Perez," police said. "Based on a preliminary investigation, foul play is not suspected."

    Officers said their investigation into the incident is ongoing.
