Target Is Selling a 'Comfy' $36 Short Sleeve Romper So Similar to a Loft Style Over 2x the Price

Jean rompers are great because they’re easy to style and comfortable, plus, you can wear them to concerts or on dates. And one of Target ’s more popular jean rompers is not only a fan favorite but looks like a Loft style that’s typically over twice the price.

One of Target’s women's apparel brands, Universal Thread, is selling a Women's Short Sleeve Romper and it’s currently $36. This one only comes in a light wash color that is pretty versatile and has a good, classic look. It has a half-button down front with a collar, cinched waist and fabric belt that ties in front for a cute look. As its name suggests, it has short sleeves and shorts on the bottom that hit the mid-upper thigh area, making it a good summer staple that you can still wear in cooler weather.

Women's Short Sleeve Romper - Universal Thread Light Wash , $36 at Target

This romper is made with a “midweight cotton-rich fabric” that feels like a jean material and is made out of 50% cotton, 30% lyocell and 20% recycled cotton. The romper has a “poplin lining” made with 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton. It’s also bursting at the seams with pockets including two chest pockets, back pockets and front pockets.

In terms of what people think of this romper, it has 93 ratings and reviews and just over 4 stars. One person wrote that it was “Good quality for a great price" and said they “really like it.”

“It’s a pretty thick material,” they wrote. “...I’m 5’2” and feel like I usually have a hard time finding rompers that aren’t too long, but this one fits really well, and I would say is almost on the shorter side. I love the tie in the front…"

Another shopper called this romper “very flattering” and said they “really liked” it and that it wasn’t “super snug” despite being denim. And one person wrote that even though it has been decades since wearing a romper, they love this light wash one from Target and think it’s “adorable.”

As we stated up top, Target’s Universal Thread denim romper in light wash looks almost identical to Loft’s Denim Utility Romper in Light Wash Indigo . It was originally $89.99 but was recently marked down to $79.99 and is temporarily on sale for $39.99. Just like Target’s romper, this one has short sleeves and shorts on the bottom along with a button-down front and collar. It even has a cinched waist, fabric belt and the same chest pockets too.
