Wheeler Walker Jr. Takes Aim at Post Malone in Hypocritical Tirade

Country music is experiencing a fascinating transformation as high-profile artists from other genres, including Post Malone, Beyoncé, and Lana Del Rey, make their mark on the scene. Beyoncé recently wowed fans with her newest album, Cowboy Carter, marking her entry into country music. Inspired by her success, Post Malone is set to debut his country music album, F-1 Trillion, in just a few weeks.

While fans eagerly anticipate these genre-crossing projects, not everyone is pleased. Country star Wheeler Walker Jr., known for his crude and controversial style, has made his displeasure abundantly clear. Walker Jr.'s albums, such as Ol’ Wheeler, Sex Drugs & Country Music, and Redneck Shit, are notorious for their explicit content, keeping him off mainstream radio. However, streaming platforms and social media have helped him amass a loyal following despite his vulgarity.

In a recent video, Walker Jr. aimed his vitriol at Post Malone, saying, “Hey, Post Malone, Wheeler Walker Jr. here. Heard your new pop country song with Blake Shelton. Maybe the worst song I’ve ever heard.”

While Post Malone's collaborations with stars like Morgan Wallen and Blake Shelton have been well-received by many, Walker Jr. was far from impressed. He added, “We’ve got enough sh**ty country without you, Post Malone. Don’t want your filth in country music. You’re dirtying it up. We don’t need people with sh*t all over their face. You’re basically Florida Georgia Line with face tattoos.”

Walker Jr. concluded his rant with a blunt message to Post Malone, “Wheeler Walker Jr. says get the f**k out of country. You suck. We don’t like you. Go back to that crappy music you were doing before. Before I knew who you were. Mr. Malone. See you. Go home.”

The irony of Walker Jr.'s comments is glaring and laughable. Here is a man whose own music is riddled with explicit language and offensive themes, making him a less-than-ideal role model for…anyone. Walker Jr. criticizing anyone for "dirtying up" country music is laughable, given that his own albums are almost exclusively expletive-laden.

Walker Jr.'s career, built on shock value and vulgarity, pales in comparison to Post Malone's achievements. In fact, it's probable that Post Malone couldn’t pick Wheeler Walker Jr. out of a crowd of 2. Post Malone has seen significant success across multiple genres, with four studio albums and numerous chart-topping singles. He has achieved six No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and his albums consistently top the charts, making him a significant force in the music industry. His hits like "Rockstar" and "Circles" have cemented his place in modern music history, unlike Walker Jr., whose success is mostly limited to a niche audience

Walker Jr., who prides himself on being a "country purist," seems more like an angry outlier trying to stay relevant by lashing out at more successful artists. His music, filled with titles like "Redneck S***" and "F*** You B****," showcases his reliance on explicit content and shock tactics rather than genuine musical talent . It's quite hypocritical for him to accuse Post Malone of "dirtying up" country music when his own discography is a testament to vulgarity.

Despite Walker Jr.'s outburst, which we’re sure had Post Malone shaking in his boots, Malone remains focused on his upcoming country music debut, set to release F-1 Trillion on August 16. His venture into country music, much like Beyoncé's, represents a broadening of the genre's horizons, welcoming diverse influences and new creativity.
