WEST VIRGINIA (WTRF) — Democrat leaders in West Virginia also reflected on Biden’s three-and-a-half years in office.

State party chair and Delegate Mike Pushkin says he and others in his party are grateful for the president’s work, including the American Rescue Plan during COVID and bipartisan infrastructure bill.

He says we’ve seen a boost in federal investment in West Virginia because of his leadership, pointing to the Inflation Reduction Act in particular as sparking new business investments.

“We’re grateful for the service that he has performed, and we’re also grateful that he’s the type of man that’s willing to put country ahead of power, ahead of personal ambition. I feel that he’s that he believes he is doing what’s right for the country and is putting the country first. I don’t think the Republicans can claim to have a leader like that.”

Delegate Pushkin says he’s looking forward to seeing the nomination process play out, adding that the Mountain State itself has a promising slate of candidates for 2024.
