Body of missing 45-year-old man found in Chesterfield, police investigating

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County Police have located the body of a 45-year-old man that went missing on Sunday.

The department released a statement at 5:16 p.m. asking for the public to help locate 45-year-old Julio Sales Perez who was last seen swimming in the area of Falling Creek Ironworks Park on Sunday, July 21, in the 6400 block of Route 1.

At around 6:40 p.m., the Chesterfield Fire & EMS Dive Team recovered the body of a man that was identified as Julio Sales Perez. Foul play is not suspected based on the preliminary investigation.

Police continue to investigate this incident. Anyone with information should contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 804-748-1251.
