LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — There’s been a lot of talk about electric vehicle production from both sides of the aisle. A recent poll of active and likely Michigan voters reflected some of the population’s favorability toward EV manufacturing expansion.

The question, posed to those polled by EPIC-MRA from July 13-17, was as follows:

“The Biden Administration has pushed to increase the production of electric vehicles, build plans to produce batteries and chips, employ union workers, and expand charging stations throughout America. This effort is intended to dramatically reduce reliance on fossil fuels and replace a large number of gasoline-powered vehicles with electric vehicles. Based on what you know about this effort, do you approve or disapprove of the plan to move toward the production and sale of electric vehicles?’

The response of those polled was as follows:

    55% total disapprove

The poll of 600 active and likely voters was conducted by EPIC-MRA from July 13-17. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4%.
