    National Weather Service issues flash flood warning in Buncombe Co.

    BUNCOMBE CO., N.C. (WSPA) – The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a flash flood warning for Sunday evening in South Central, Buncombe County.

    At 9:22 p.m., doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen, and additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible.

    According to the NWS, urgency is immediate and responsive action should be taken immediately

    The flash flood warning is predicted to last until 12:30 a.m., early Monday morning.
