Love Island fans rage 'can we chill' with spoilers as X users fume 'I hate this app'

Love Island producers made a big mistake when they dropped the finale episode, according to viewers.

Fans were raging because the two hour special came with tons of spoilers . After all, the pitfall of streaming, entertainment's modern default, is that people can skip forward for the final reveal, undercutting the entire lead up. While that's how some people choose to enjoy their dramatic dating show, plenty were annoyed with the peekers.

A fan on X , formerly known as Twitter, wrote: "Omg can we chill with the spoilers ??! First love island USA and now HOTD… How is the rhaenyra’s kiss on the tl already?!"

"I’m so f---ing bitter right now people who posted winner spoilers. At least could’ve waiting til 10:30," a fan begged.

Some fans were going to extreme lengths to ensure they didn't seen spoilers. One said that they would be deactivating their account entirely. Another fan opted to avoid live posting in order to stop the spoilers. Although, they couldn't help but pop on to melt over their favorite couple. They said: "Opened twitter with my eyes closed to avoid spoilers but i have to say that serena and kordell’s date was so cute i’m crying."

The ruined episode angered fans so badly that they demanded we return to our roots. One said: "If we have to watch ads anyways, bring back actual live tv with the inability to skip to the end [or stop posting the episode early] so we can all live tweet during commercial breaks with no spoilers online less than 5 min past 9pm."

Some fans felt the spoilers were "ridiculous" and threatened to report accounts that were leaking results. "Keep it to yourself," warned a fan.

Another said: "A big f--k you to the m----rf---ers who fast-forward to the end of the episode and then come on here to post spoilers #loveislandusa thanks for ruining the chat. Thanks for ruining everything honestly."

Regardless, some chaotic fans enjoyed spoiling the moment and sent premature well-wishes to the winners. "'I'm happy with the results. Congratulations to the winners. Since they gonna beat us for spoilers," one said.
