More evacuations lifted for Pilot Rock Fire in Umatilla County

PENDLETON, Ore. -- Updated at 12:30 p.m.: All evacuations have been lifted for the following areas:

For the area of South of Coombes Canyon Rd and North of milepost 32 on Highway 395 S (Gurdane Rd) between the County Line on the west and just west of East Birch Creek

The Coombs Canyon Fire (Coombs Canyon Rd and Reinhart Rd in Pendleton, OR) and the Pilot Rock Fire (south of Nye Junction, southwest of Pilot Rock, OR) both started on Wednesday, July 17th, 2024. Below is up to date information.

Coombes Canyon Fire Acreage: 3,224

Coombes Canyon Containment: 0%

Pilot Rock Fire Acreage: 19,000

Pilot Rock Fire Containment: 94%

Closures: US-395 is closed from MP 50 to 90
