Ben Affleck goes ring-less as he skips J Lo's birthday party amid ongoing divorce rumors

Ben Affleck made another display which could hint at a potential divorce from Jennifer Lopez .

The actor lacked his ring when he was seen with his daughter, Violet. He missed out on a key night for his wife, J Lo, who was throwing a birthday bash . Ben was spotted wearing a red t-shirt and pair of gray sweatpants.

His time with his daughter, who he shares with ex Jennifer Garner , comes after she faced some major backlash for her pro-mask standpoint when she spoke at a Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to advocate for mask mandates in medical facilities as well as "air filtration and Far-UVC light in government facilitates, including jails and detention centers." Additionally, she stressed the importance of increased mask availability and COVID-19 testing.

She gave a peek into her personal wellness and said: “I’m OK now, but I saw first-hand that medicine does not always have answers to the consequences of even minor viruses. The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown that into sharper relief. One in 10 infections leads to long COVID, which is a devastating neurological [and] cardiovascular illness that can take away people’s ability to work, move, see, and even think."

Ben, reportedly, wasn't super thrilled with Violet's stance. "Ben had a conversation with her and told her that she needs to be realistic with this because he doesn't want her to waste all of her time putting effort into something that probably won't make a difference in the long run," an insider told the Daily Mail .

The source added: "He knows how strongly she feels about this, but now that Violet is an adult, he felt that it was his duty to let her know that she is David fighting Goliath and that most people, unfortunately, do not feel the same way she does about this. He was also concerned that Violet felt as if her parent's star power was going to be able to guarantee her the outcome that she wanted which, in this case, it is not."

Ben was recently seen hanging out with Violet's mother amid the divorce rumors. However, an insider told the Mail that Garner is currently playing mediator in an effort to bring the pair back together.

Despite this ring-less outing, he insider said: "Jennifer is hopeful right now about salvaging her marriage to Ben. She would not be spending time with his children acting in the role as a mom to them if she was not working things out with him or, at the very least, on the right path."
