Purchase Costco's Kirkland Brand Flushable Wipes? You may be entitled to a cash settlement

Have you purchased Costco's house brand Kirkland Flushable wipes? You may be entitled to a cash settlement. The settlement relates to Costco's Kirkland Signature Moist Flushable Wipes. These wipes are part of a class action that alleges that the product is not actually flushable. Because of this, consumers could have potentially sustained damage to their septic or sewer systems.

To be eligible for this class action, you must have purchased Kirkland Signature Moist Flushable Wipes brand from Costco in New York state between July 1, 2011 and May 31, 2017. If you have or have had a Costco membership during this time, you may have automatically received a claim form via mail with a claim number. If you are not a Costco member or did not receive a claim form but are still affected by this settlement, you can download a claim form here. Claimants that did purchase Kirkland Signature Moist Flushable Wipes during the claim period are eligible for a payment of $1.30 for each package of Kirkland Signature Moist Flushable Wipes that they purchased. The minimum settlement award is $7.50. The maximum settlement amount is $55.90 (a maximum of 43 units.) There is a cap of $2M for this settlement, so if claims exceed the $2m threshold they may be reduced accordingly. The claims period ends on August 9, 2024, all claims must be received (not just postmarked) by then in order for them to be considered.
