The film stars Vicky Kaushal as Akhil Chadha, Triptii Dimri as Saloni Bagga, and Ammy Virk as Gurbir Singh Pannu. Additionally, the supporting cast includes Neha Dhupia, Sheeba Chaddha, Faisal Rashid, and Guneet Singh, among others. On the technical front, Amar Mohile composed the music, Debojeet Ray handled the cinematography, and Shan Mohammed edited the film.

Bad Newz revolves around the rare medical condition of heteropaternal superfecundation. The story follows Saloni Bagga, who unexpectedly becomes pregnant after a one-night stand. Chaos ensues when she discovers she is carrying twins and is uncertain about the father’s identity—Akhil and Gurbir. The film shares a concept similar to the 2019 release of Good Newz.
