WESTPORT — As summer kicks into full swing, Buzzards Bay Brewing is the perfect spot to enjoy unique brews and delicious food from a rotation of local food trucks during Food Truck Month.

Each night of the week at Buzzards Bay Brewing, 98 Horseneck Road, features a different food truck with mouth-watering options. From BBQ to gourmet grilled cheese to Brazilian American cuisine, there is something for every palate.

"It's amazing how international it is, just a nice reflection of our area," said owner Bill Russell.

With a beautiful farm setting, this small brewery takes pride in using locally grown and malted ingredients in their ales, lagers, sours, ciders and more.

And with the scenic surroundings of Westport's farmland ocean breeze, enjoying a cold pint of Buzzards Bay brew with a tasty food truck dish is the perfect summer experience.

"It's the whole reason why people invented brewer's gardens in the first place, a way to get out of the heat of the cities where it was cool and breezy," Russell added.

"And we don't have a cooler, breezier place in the planet than our place."

What the brewer's garden is also offering soon to guests

Buzzards Bay Brewing also hosts various events throughout the summer, including an "Improv Jones" free show on July 27. For those looking for a unique experience, Buzzard Mania Live Pro Wrestling is a must-attend event on Aug. 3.

As August approaches, the brewery gears up to release their "Lizzie," a Red IPA, in honor of the anniversary of the Lizzie Borden murders. The infamous maze will also be returning in September.

This year, Buzzards Bay Brewing is teaming up with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra to create a spooky symphonic experience within the maze.

"Nothing spookier than classical music in a maze," Russell said with a laugh.
