EDGEFIELD, S.C. (WJBF) – Edgefield County students are back in school Monday and some will get to use new, cool technology.

It’s called “C-Space” and it’s offered at the Career Center.

Courses there are specific to careers students may have right out of high school.

The program let’s students get a more ‘hands on’ approach on learning.

“It really gives them a 3D view of what the content is. You know looking at a heart, a textbook is very different than being able to look at it and manipulate it with your hands right in front of your face,” said Dr. Kevin O’Gorman, Superintendent, Edgefield County Schools

Also new this year is the district’s partnership with Self Regional Medical in Greenwood as part of their Health Sciences Academy.
