PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS : Monday night temperatures will stay very mild, near 70 degrees. We could see patchy fog develop late tonight, with a few isolated showers and storms not out of the question. We are watching a cluster of strong storms possible Tuesday, mainly in the afternoon and early evening. It is possible it may move just southwest of Madison, where the better chances of ALERT DAY conditions look like right now. Otherwise, Tuesday is looking muggy, with high temperatures in the middle to upper 80s.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : There is a chance of severe weather across southern Wisconsin Wednesday, with ALERT DAY conditions possible from a cluster of storms possible Wednesday evening and overnight with strong winds, hail, and heavy rain. Temperatures climb into the upper 80s on Wednesday, although it will feel a lot warmer with high humidity levels. Heat index values could get into the middle to upper 90s. Another round of storms are possible Thursday afternoon, although Wednesday night's storms may take away energy on Thursday for strong storms. The First Warn Weather Team will be keeping a close eye on this. By Friday temperatures will cool down a bit, and that will last heading into the weekend.
