Penn State announced that they will raise their in-state tuition by 2% at their University Park campus for the 2025-2026 semester.

The new tuition also includes a 4% increase for out-of-state undergraduate and graduate students.

On their Commonwealth Campuses, in-state resident undergraduate students will not see a raise in their tuition. However, non-resident undergraduate students at the Commonwealth Campuses will see a 1% raise.

The Inquirer reports that this increase comes after Pennsylvania approved a budget that flat-funded Penn State, Temple University, and the University of Pittsburgh.

The University said that most of tuition will largely be used to fund 3% salary increases for faculty and staff, as well as a 4% increase for graduate assistant stipends.
