It appears that Clint Eastwood‘s Juror No. 2 will possibly miss the awards window for 2025. An already busy slate for Warner Bros is likely the cause.

Variety’s Clayton Davis took to social media to dispel Oscar prediction hopes for the movie next year. He wrote that he’d been told Juror No. 2 will not bow this calendar year.

It’s seemingly not a lack of confidence in the latest Clint Eastwood movie. But rather that there are already plenty of moving parts for awards season 2025.

”Remember… Warner Bros has Dune: Part Two, Furiosa, Joker 2, Beetlejuice 2, and animated Lord of the Rings for awards. That’s a lot to juggle.” Davis wrote as a followup to his post on Juror No. 2’s possible delayed release.

Davis does state that things could change for the movie. That’s understandable. Nothing is set in stone for movie releases, especially at Warner Bros.

What is Juror No. 2 about?

The story of Juror No. 2 sees a juror in a murder trial realize he may have caused the victim’s death. He then wrestles with the dilemma of whether to manipulate the jury to save himself or reveal the truth and turn himself in.

The stacked cast features Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road), Toni Collette (Hereditary), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Kiefer Sutherland (Lost Boys), Zoey Deutch (The Disaster Artist), Gabriel Basso (Super 8), Leslie Bibb (Trick r’ Treat), and Chris Messina (Birds of Prey).

Despite being something of an iconic actor in classics such as Dirty Harry, 94-year-old Clint Eastwood has built up a sizeable catalog of directorial efforts in his long and storied career. He counts the likes of Unforgiven, Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino, Play Misty for Me, and Sully among his notable filmmaking highlights of the past 50 or so years.

Juror No. 2 is set to be Clint Eastwood’s final movie.
