CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Meteorologists say Monday will not be hot enough for a heat advisory but “feel like” temperatures will grace triple digits.

Storm Team 2 says scattered showers are expected to hit the Lowcountry but near the coastal areas, there’s a risk of flooding.

“That next round comes in just after your 12 o’clock hour and most of it could be in the form of a few scattered showers and storms,” said Meteorologist Grace Lowe. “Locally heavy downpours which could mean some minor flooding, especially in those coastal areas that saw rain all weekend long.”

Temperatures will be in the upper 80s to low 90s throughout Monday afternoon.

“We’re not going to be having that heat advisory today but that feels like temperature is still within the triple digits so make sure you’re of course drinking a lot of water and staying hydrated outside,” Lowe added.
