7/22/2024: Showers return tonight

The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:

Today starts dry and mostly sunny with high pressure still in control to the north.

Expect seasonably warm high temperatures, with highs in the mid 80’s for most. Late this afternoon and especially into the evening, showers will likely move in from the south.

More on and off showers and downpours are possible through the overnight period. With clouds and more humidity, temperatures stay a little warmer – in the mid to upper 60’s in the Capital District.

Tuesday is not a washout, there will be periods of dry time late morning and into the early afternoon – but more pop up showers and thunderstorms are possible later in the afternoon.

More scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday and Thursday as well, before quieter conditions return on Friday.

The weekend looks brighter, but also warmer! Afternoon temperatures in the upper 80’s will make for a toasty feel – stay hydrated out there!
