    Politician Swerves Handshake With Far-Right Rival Using Exquisite Move

    A French politician played an impromptu game of rock-paper-scissors to avoid shaking the hand of a far-right rival.

    Francois Piquemal, of the leftist New Popular Front coalition, pulled the game’s scissor move on Flavien Termet of the far-right National Rally during a vote in the National Assembly in a video that’s gone viral on social media.

    As Termet’s hand was extended flat for a handshake — so, like paper — he lost the game that he didn’t even realize he was a part of.

    Piquemal gave a little shrug at his victory and then walked off.

    BFMTV shared footage of the moment on X, formerly Twitter:

    Piquemal also shared the clip on X and wrote, “In the ballot boxes like rock paper scissors, in the end it is the NFP which wins.”

    “Honestly delightful what a cheerful yet completely sincere Fuck You this is,” wrote one commenter . Added another : “Relations with the far right must never be normal. This is how it’s done.

    Piquemal wasn’t the only member of his party to shun shaking hands with Termet, as this extended video shows:
