Karl Urban Reveals When The Boys Season 5 Will Air

Karl Urban dropped the unfortunate news that it will be another two years before we get the final season of The Boys , confirming what fans knew in their hearts but hoped wouldn't be true.

The actor behind Billy Butcher took to Instagram with a carousel of images to express his gratitude to his co-star, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, as Joe Kessler in season four.

"Working with the illustrious @jeffreydeanmorgan was the best part of my day every day," Urban said.

It was after thanking Morgan for his efforts that he informed the fans, "See you in ...2 years (wish it was sooner) for the final season".

Our information on the final season is sparse, but Eric Kripke and Anthony Starr teased The Boys season five in a new interview, revealing it would be the show's "version of the apocalypse".

Beyond that, it's all a mystery, but that won't stop fans from hypothesizing for the next two years until it all comes to a head in the final series of one of the most beloved series on television right now.
