And if you're like most people in Wisconsin, your favorite ice cream flavor may be a bit unique compared to the rest of the country. Wisconsin shares its most popular ice cream flavor with only one other state, according to Holiday Calendar , a website that tracks national and niche holidays across the U.S.
The organization analyzed the grocery shopping data of 12 million Americans to rank the five most popular ice cream flavors in each state. Here are how the most-scooped flavors in Wisconsin square with the rest of the country.

The most popular ice cream flavor in Wisconsin is strawberry, Holiday Calendar reported. Washington was the only other state to log strawberry as its top flavor.
The organization didn't provide any clues as to why Wisconsinites like strawberry ice cream so much, but perhaps it's because the berry is the most widely grown small fruit crop in the state, according to UW-Madison .
Ice cream seems to be just one way the state has embraced strawberries: each June, more than 120,000 people flock to Cedarburg for the city's annual strawberry festival . And plenty of other farms throughout the state offer strawberry picking through the summer, though peak strawberry season came slightly early this year .
If you're looking for an ice cream fix in Milwaukee this week, strawberry or otherwise, consider Wisconsin's newly opened and only Ben and Jerry's Scoop Shop or Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Co. , recently named the best ice cream in Wisconsin by Reader's Digest .

Coming in after strawberry, chocolate and vanilla were also among the most popular flavors in the state — making a classic Neapolitan in the state's top three.

Most popular ice cream flavor in other states
Vanilla was easily the top choice nationwide, ranking as most popular in 19 states. Chocolate wasn't far behind, though, coming in first in 15 states.
Other popular choices were mint chocolate chip, Rocky Road and coffee. Michigan was the sole state to have Moose Tracks in the number-one spot.
