TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – On Friday, Governor Laura Kelly announced that 12 internet service providers would receive $22.7 to improve broadband access in 14 rural Kansas counties.
As part of the latest round of Broadband Acceleration Grants, $10 million is being paired with $12.7 in matching funds to provide a $22.7 investment into rural Internet projects. The program has invested over $41.5 million to the cause since 2020.
“By connecting every region of the state to reliable high-speed internet, we can ensure Kansans have the resources to invest in themselves and our state,” Governor Laura Kelly said. “Broadband drives innovation, unlocks potential, and ensures everyone can participate in services essential for economic, educational, and industrial growth.”
