In the hours and days following the incident, the story unfolded, identifying 20-year-old Thomas Crooks as the shooter.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the search took place on Friday, June 28, at the residence of 28-year-old Shyiem Marquon Banks and 36-year-old Roderick Dion Collins.
