    School district hires 17 new teachers

    Each month, the Wilson County Board of Education releases its personnel list showing employees who’ve been hired and those who’ve retired or resigned from the system in the previous month. The Wilson Times publishes the list each month.

    The Wilson County Board of Education approved the following personnel changes during its July meeting.

    ADMINISTRATIVE HIRINGS

    • Cindy Dunn, school to be determined, assistant principal, previously instructional coach for Nash County Schools

    • Christy Straughan-Haley, school to be determined, assistant principal, previously assistant principal for Wayne County Schools

    • Mary West, school to be determined, assistant principal, previously math teacher at Wayne County Schools

    • Madison Bass, New Hope Elementary School, second grade teacher

    • Megan Bissette, Beddingfield High School, English teacher

    • Helaina Bossolono, Lucama Elementary School, first grade teacher
