TMNT x Naruto Comic Book Crossover Begins November 2024

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) comic book line will be crossing over with the anime/manga series Naruto, coming out in November.

With last year’s reinvigorating hype for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise with the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem , this year has been a great year for the comics as well. IDW has been promoting the hugely popular relaunch of the TMNT series and continuing the Last Ronin saga. But now, they have announced the next biggest TMNT comic book line will be with the worldwide phenomena anime/manga Naruto —a major crossover for IDW and Viz Media , too! So far, it seems like it will just be called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto and will be released on November 13, 2024.

IGN received a statement on the new comic run for the iconic turtle ninjas from the writer Caleb Goellner ( Sonic the Hedgehog ), “I’m stoked and humbled to get to work with the coolest talent in comics and manga to introduce the ninja created by my heroes in a massive mutagen and chakra-fueled adventure for fans everywhere. What else can you call it but an honour? Let’s party.”

This TMNT joint project will be a four-issue series written by Goellner and illustrated by Hendry Prasetya ( Mighty Morphin Power Rangers ), with colours by Raúl Angulo ( NYX ) and letters by Ed Dukeshire ( The Woods ). Jorge Jiménez ( Batman , Superman ) and Prasetya provided cover art for issue #1.

Will this spell a weird mashup for the best iconic meal between pizza and ramen? Or maybe the two will form the ultimate pizza ramen or ramen pizza? Some of the art revealed so far showed Sasuke and Sakura also joining the turtle brothers, so it is not just the titular character coming into the world of TMNT. The description of the new comic also revealed that we could expect Tsunade and Kakashi, among others, from the Hidden Leaf Village.

The sinister Foot Clan have their own interest in April’s visit, as they think she might hold the valuable information on mutation research being conducted by the scientist Baxter Stockman. With April caught between the forces of the Hidden Leaf Village and the Foot Clan, it can’t be long before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show up to lend her a hand!
