HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — An 18-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to the death of a man who was found with “obvious signs of trauma” in a Henrico County parking lot. This follows the arrest of a teenager in early July.

On Friday, July 19, 18-year-old Damarcus Alexander Mason, of Henrico County, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, armed robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

This comes after an unidentified boy was arrested on June 28 and charged with robbery and underage possession of a firearm in connection to the incident.

At 7:30 p.m. on June 16, police responded to a shooting call in the 4600 block of Grand Ledge Court.

When they arrived, they found 23-year-old Lamontae Aubrey Scott of the Sandston area of Henrico with “obvious signs of trauma” in a parking lot. He died at the scene.

Anyone with information about the shooting death is asked to call Det. M Rosser at 804-928-0273.
