    Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office Conducts Multiple Drug-Related Arrests

    The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office, along with various law enforcement divisions, executed multiple search warrants and surveillance operations, resulting in several drug-related arrests over recent weeks.

    On Monday, June 24, the Sheriff’s Office’s Narcotics and Patrol Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Cedar Hill Lane in Carriere. During the search, Billy Joe Smith, 41, and Sunni Mitchell, 47, were found inside a camper trailer. Investigators discovered a distribution amount of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Smith and Hannah Israel, 21, were charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and Mitchell was charged with possession of paraphernalia.

    On the same day, the Narcotics Division, in conjunction with the Picayune Police Department’s Special Investigation Division, conducted surveillance at the Days Inn at 450 S. Loftin St. in Picayune. Investigators observed a hand-to-hand transaction between Timmy McDonald, 40, and Roy Hepler, 53. Both were arrested, with McDonald charged with transfer of a controlled substance and Hepler accused of possession with intent to distribute.

    On Tuesday, June 25, investigators and patrol deputies conducted a traffic stop on Sones Chapel Road near Highway 11 in McNeill. Kevin Treadway, 50, and passenger Mary Youngblood, 43, were found with methamphetamine and paraphernalia used for smoking methamphetamine. Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Treadway was also booked for careless driving, no seatbelt, and no insurance.

    On Thursday, June 27, the Narcotics Division assisted the Mississippi Department of Corrections with a residence inspection on Broadway Circle in Picayune. During the inspection, investigators identified Tammy Sorensen, 47, as a resident and found drug paraphernalia and a dirk knife, which Michael Bullock, 44, is prohibited from possessing. Bullock was arrested for possession of a weapon by a felon, and Sorensen was charged with possession of paraphernalia.

    On Wednesday, July 10, narcotics investigators and patrol deputies patrolled the Hillsdale Community after receiving complaints about drug activity. During a traffic stop, Daniel Istre, 70, was found with methamphetamine. Passengers Joseph Dyson, 46, Braxton Dyson, 24, and Tonia Schaidt, 48, were all charged with possession of paraphernalia. Istre received an additional charge for possession of methamphetamine.

    Later that day, deputies and investigators responded to reports of Malcolm Blake Ladner, 35, and Brantley Ladner, 33, driving with a stolen John Deere ATV. The suspects were located, and a traffic stop was made. Brantley was arrested for an outstanding warrant and found in possession of a prescription-controlled substance without a prescription. Malcolm was charged with altering a VIN, possession of stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brantley was charged with possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.

    On Monday, July 15, narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at 3317 Jackson Landing Road in Picayune. Cayenne Neal, 32, and Brandon Holloway, 33, were found with multiple firearms and a distribution amount of suspected fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine. Both were arrested for possession with intent, trafficking firearms, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
