BT goes off on Yankees continuing to play DJ LeMahieu and Gleyber Torres

DJ LeMahieu was back in the Yankee lineup on Monday after a day off on Sunday, while the struggling Gleyber Torres was benched Monday after a rough performance on Sunday afternoon.

BT and Sal agree that both need to be taken out of the lineup indefinitely, traded if possible, or just let go.

“How many times can you write DJ LeMahieu’s name in the lineup?” BT said. “He - and I say this with respect - he’s done! He’s finished! He can’t run, he can’t hit, he can’t throw. He is shot. He is like us! Shot!

“Gleyber Torres, are we gonna do this dog and pony show for another month? ‘Oh, maybe Gleyber is gonna wake up.’ He’s not. Still booting balls, still has his head up his behind.”

BT says the Yankees need to bring in some better, more reliable infielders, perhaps a Ryan McMahon from Colorado, and by doing so, not only would you get better on paper, but you would be cutting dead weight like LeMahieu and Torres.

“Not only do you bring in two players who are really good,” BT said. “But simultaneously, by doing that, you get rid of two scrubs.”
