Jennifer Garner, the 13 Going on 30 star, 52, may have thought she was just following a cute social media trend with a video she posted on Saturday, July 20, with her cat named Moose. In reality she was probably doing a lot more for Moose's enrichment then she even realized.

Garner showed Moose places in her house that he may have never seen before, and the sweet video may have actually staved off boredom for her gorgeous cat.

In the video posted to Instagram, garner shows Moose places he's never seen before , like the inside of in side of the refrigerator, the microwave, a beautiful fish tank and the top of Garner's bed. I'm sort of shocked Moose has never been on the bed before, because my own cats think the bed is their domaine.

A few other people in the comments made the same point, and one person said, "I don’t know how to tell you this, but Moose has definitely been on your bed when you weren’t looking." Another person asked, "What cat doesn't think that they own their human's bed?"

Even though this clip is sweet and funny, it actually may serve a purpose. Believe it or not, your cat can get bored going through the same routine every day.

Your cat needs enrichment to be as happy and as healthy as possible, and it can really be as simple as showing them places they have never seen before.

Dr. Bahr , a 1991 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, posted a video on her TikTok page that explains this.

Replying to @Castlilone adding enrichment to your cats daily routine will encourage activity and keep things interesting for them, regardless of their age. try a bunch of things new things and figure out what your cat likes 🫶🏼 #catenrichmemt #catwellness #seniorcats #felinefriends #catlovers #thecatdoc #catsoftiktok

In the video she explains that when her cat is just staring at her, it's a good reminder that she should try and do something different for her cat. Whether it's opening a closet door to let them explore a closet they haven't been in before, or taking a sheet and throwing it over a chair to make a tent. Even dropping your junk mail on the floor and letting your cat sit on it, these are all enrichment ideas. Or you can even give them a new cat toy to help their enrichment.

The thought is that every day you should do something our of your cat's normal routine that wakes them up a little bit .  Your cat will be a whole lot happier and so will you because making your cat happy makes you happy.

So go ahead, show your cat the inside of your microwave!
