Trailer loaded with lawn equipment stolen in Florence County

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A person who allegedly stole a trailer carrying lawn equipment from a home on W. Ridgecrest Circle in Florence County has been taken into custody.

It happened at about 9:45 a.m. Monday. Sheriff’s office investigators said security cameras captured video of the unidentified man driving off after backing a white Toyota 4Runner pickup truck into the yard of the residence and connecting it to the trailer. There was no license tag displayed on the truck.

The trailer was loaded with several items, including a Kubota zero-turn lawn mower, a Husqvarna zero-turn lawn mower, and a Husqvarna weed-eater and leaf blower.

Late Monday afternoon, deputies said they conducted a traffic stop on a white Toyota 4Runner pulling a trailer with a Kubota zero-turn lawn mower, Husqvarna weed-eater and leaf blower. A person was taken into custody, but the Husqvarna zero-turn lawn mower is still missing.
