Laura Dern Is Selling Her Pre-Loved Designer Closet Castoffs to Support Planned Parenthood

Laura Dern is the latest A-lister to let go of her luxe closet castoffs for charity.

The Oscar-winning actress has teamed with Vestiaire Collective for a closet sale to benefit Planned Parenthood, and shoppers can snap up her pre-loved pieces from Gucci, Sacai, Oscar de la Renta and other designers. Prices range from $63 for a Stella McCartney jersey tee to $918 for a sparkling ruffled gold maxi dress from Vampire’s Wife. Other items from the 10-piece range include dresses from Derek Lam, a colorful Missoni tank top, animal print Roger Vivier heels and a long red Calvin Klein blazer. All proceeds from the event will go to the nonprofit.

“A longtime champion of circular fashion and of Planned Parenthood, Dern has curated pieces from her wardrobe for this special sale, which she hopes will bring attention to reducing the stigma around sexual and reproductive health care, including abortion,” says Vestiaire in a statement.

The Palm Royale star and producer regularly repeats outfits on the red carpet in the name of fashion sustainability . Among her re-wears is a black Armani Privé crystal-embellished cutout gown that she wore to the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in 2020 (after winning an Academy Award for Marriage Story ). She first donned the dress in 1995 to the Sheba Humanitarian Awards Gala and wore it again to the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in 2013, according to People .

Vestiaire recently announced that it was no longer charging selling fees so that users earn the full amount of their sold items; only a payment processing fee of 3 percent applies to sales.
