Cabell County Fair week kicks off with parade, festivities begin Wednesday

CABELL COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – It’s time once again for the Cabell County Fair! To kick off this year’s fun and festivities, the area community gathered in the City of Milton for the Cabell County Fair Parade.

The 2024 Cabell County Fair runs from July 24-27, at the West Virginia Pumpkin Park in Milton.

The theme of the 2024 Cabel County Fair Parade was ‘Barnyard Bash.” Some people wrangled up their real barnyard animals, while others grabbed their stuffed animals to get in on the fun! Some folks even plan their whole week around the Cabell County Fair.

“Listen, Sunday morning – get up, go to church, come to the parade – What’s more American than that?” said Milton resident Nicole Kinzel. “Come to the parade every year, yeah, I think we’re going to the rodeo on Friday, so it will be a fun week.”

Throughout the week, the Cabell County Fair will offer a variety of activities and entertainment on the stage, on the track and in the livestock arena.

The fair officially kicks off Wednesday with Family Fun Night, including the carnival, and fair-goers can stop by Thursday and Friday to watch the Rodeos. Saturday will wrap up the event with a fun-filled day of games and entertainment.
