Nia Jax spoke to The Battleground Podcast recently. She was asked about the partnership between WWE and NXT. She said it was incredible to see the TNA stars working in NXT, and something she never expected to see.
“Incredible. I think it’s just a testament to how big WWE is and how generous they are. These other companies are getting a bigger platform to showcase their talent, and bringing some fandom to their shows is super cool.”
“Being able to see girls like Jordynne Grace come over. She had a great showing at the Royal Rumble, and seeing her work with some of the NXT girls has been super cool. I think it’s a really cool aspect of what’s going on. It’s new to us too. I never thought in a million years we’d be doing that, coming from a different era. This is actually a really fun thing to do. To be able to showcase so much talent all over the world in wrestling. It is about luck and being in the right place at the right time.”
Nia Jax Had Never Heard Of Joe Hendry
However, Nia Jax also dropped a bombshell. She revealed she’d never heard of Joe Hendry until his NXT debut. She asked fans not to hate her for admitting that.
“Being able to say, ‘Hey, this girl or this guy has been killing it on this scene for so long,’ like Joe Hendry. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t know who he was, and now that they’ve been having him on, I was like, ‘Oh, let me take a look and see his former work.’ It’s actually a really cool thing in opening the eyes of our IWC to see all these people, and I think it’s a cool thing.”
