Gen V Season 2 “Out Next Year” Says Amazon Exec

It has been almost a year since Gen V broadcast for the first time on Prime Video, and we are now getting our first teasers from Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, about what season two has in store and when we might get to see it.

Speaking with The Wrap , Sanders revealed, "We love Gen V. Season two is turning out to be really strong."

Gen V 's official synopsis from Amazon MGM Studios reads:

Set in the diabolical world of The Boys, Gen V expands the universe to Godolkin University, the prestigious superhero-only college where students train to be the next generation of heroes—preferably with lucrative endorsements. You know what happens when supes go bad, but not all superheroes start out corrupt. Beyond the typical college chaos of finding oneself and partying, these kids are facing explosive situations … literally. As the students vie for popularity and good grades, it's clear that the stakes are much higher when super powers are involved. When the group of young supes discover that something bigger and sinister is going on at school, they're put to the test: Will they be the heroes or the villains of their stories?

With The Boys season four wrapping and season five two years away, fans might be soothed to hear from Sanders, who says, "We are in production now" on season two of Gen V .

"We've been in production for several weeks now," Sanders continued, "I'm hoping that will be out next year."

So, while fans will have to play the waiting game for the epic conclusion to The Boys , Gen V season two should be able to tide you in the meantime... even if you'll have to wait until 2025 for that first.
